The City of Flagstaff is set to commence the Cinder Lake Landfill Access Road Improvement Project, aimed at enhancing road safety, optimizing travel conditions, and implementing stormwater enhancements. The project is scheduled to reach completion by September 2024.

According to project details, construction activities will take place on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., with potential delays for landfill customers. The City advises that individuals using Landfill Road should anticipate up to 15-minute delays during the construction period.

Furthermore, the road will be inaccessible to the public on four consecutive Sundays, specifically on April 7, 14, 21, and 28. Despite these closures, both the Cinder Lake Landfill and the Hazardous Products Center (HPC) will continue to operate within regular business hours throughout the duration of the project.
